Description

Architectural-Engineering Services are required to provide complete design and engineering services, including all necessary schematics, design development, cost estimate, construction drawings and specifications, meet all applicable requirements including NFPA, VA, and JCAHO. Site survey/study to determine renovation of appoximately 5,700 sq. ft. of space. The space3 shall be designed to accommodate a canteen retail store, stock room, office, canteen food operations kitchen. The intent is to purchase "grill" items in the food preparation area. In addition, consideration shall be given to create a dining room for 20-30 inpatients, including 5 wheelchair patients. The dining space will be either shared or a separate room. The dining areas can be closed off. These spaces are to be constructed in the current shell space located on the first floor of Building 185. Existing building systems have been designed and constructed to support the anticipated construction of these new spaces, however the A/E will be required to verify as-built conditions to ensure all systems are adequate for the intended purpose. All spaces must be designed to provide appropriate consideration for the handicapped. Design comletion time 200 days. Construction cost is $450,000.00. The NAICS code is 541310. The small business size standard is $4M. Firms will be evaluated on the following criteria. Professional Qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services including professional registration experience and technical competence of the team proposed for this project in related areas of the type of work required. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time. Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules.
