Description

Market Survey: The FAA is interested in locating fitness professionals to management the Great Lakes Wellness Center in Des Plaines, Illinois. The facility is approximately 4,400 sq. ft., which consists of a 1,000 sq. ft aerobic studio and 1,200 sq. ft. exercise equipment area. The exercise area has LifeFitness equipment consisting of 4/treadmills, 2/stairmasters, 2/cross-trainers, 2/life cycles, 2/recumbent life cycles, circuit training equipment, plus a Smith machine, and various sized free weights with benches. The remaining space is for locker/shower facilities and reception area. The current hours of operation and staffing are 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. The Center currently offers 14 aerobic classes weekly with peak hours from 11:00 am 1:00pm and 3:00pm 5:00pm. The FAA is looking for provider who can provide for the overall management including administration, supervision, quality assurance and program reporting and evaluation. The provider shall be able to provide the following services which is not all inclusive: 1)fitness assessments, 2)customized fitness and exercise plans, 3)various types and levels of group exercise classes, 4)personalized training, 5)equipment orientation, 6)program reporting and evaluation, 7)coordinate wellness programs, such as, nutrition/weight control, stress management, etc., 8)provide qualified staff, 9)daily routine checks and cleaning of equipment, 10)periodic customer satisfaction surveys, 11)periodic reports on equipment usage, class participation, center usage, current membership figures, and 12)publicity and promotions. Those interested shall submit a letter of introduction, providing the following information: educational background, related experience, certifications, briefly describe your experience with the required services as listed above. Lastly, briefly describe your ideas for staffing the center and an estimate of costs.
