Description

The subject acquisition consists of providing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, and all else necessary to complete the Repair of Airfield Pavements at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. The work involved includes, but is not limited to: Selective concrete slab pavement replacement, joint sealing, spall repair, rubber removal, paint striping, field testing and surveying, concrete grooving, installation of polyethylene panels, 6" waterline installation and reinforced concrete pipe placement. The contractor shall re-use the concrete rubble excavated from the airfield as backfill for the drainage ditch on the West end of the runway. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 23411 with a small business size standard of $27,500,000. This is an unrestricted procurement. The successful contractor will be selected using Past Performance Trade Off (PPTO) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Past performance is significantly more important than price. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 20 April 01 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
