Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division employs a full service fire department on site. The main fire fighting apparatus is a 1987 Pierce Dash. The National Fire Protection Association has established many new standards and requirements for new apparatus, and maintaining old apparatus. The NFPA 1910, Ch. 10, Pt. 10-1.1 addresses the main cab enclosure and the need for safety upgrades as well as other modifications. The NSWCCD anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price contract to perform these much needed upgrades to the fire apparatus. Interested parties must submit a written request for a detailed copy of the solicitation no later than 15 calendar days from the issue date of this notice. Further, upgrade facilities must be located within a fifty (50)mile radius from the Carderock Division, NSWC's West Bethesda MD. location. The proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. (see numbered Note 1)
