Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a Sole Source contract with EMC Corporation to provide computer hardware maintenance services for the Office of Transportation Safeguards (OTS) Transportation and Emergency Operations Division (TEOD) in support of the Operations Center computer system which has components located in Albuquerque, NM; Amarillo, TX and Oak Ridge, TN. EMC is the manufacturer of the Aviion computer hardware used by the Operations Center. The recommended NAICS for this procurement is 811212, with a corresponding size standard of $18M. The Department of Energy intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302. Work is scheduled to begin on or around 4/23/01. The scope of work is to be accomplished within a period of 5 years (Basic 1 year and 4- 1 year options to renew).
