The ultimate goal is to have a "one stop shopping" method for accessing and/or obtaining copies as a minimum the DoD adopted standards from the Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) identified below: (Note: The SDOs listed are in decreasing order of number of documents adopted for use by DoD.) 1. Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 2. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) 3. National Aerospace Standards Committee (NA/NAS) 4. American National Standards Institute (ANSI) 5. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 6. American Society of Mechnical Engineers (ASME) 7. Electronic Industries Association (EIA) 8. Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electric Circuits 9. American Wood Preservers Association (EIA) 10. Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) 11. American Welding Society (AWS) 12. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Interested vendors should provide a capability statement which should include, as a minimum, the following information: 1. Identify by SDO the standards currently available or planned to be provided. Example: SAE, ASTM, ANSI, UL etc. 2. Methods currently available or planned to be used for ordering the documents. Example: Website 3. Methods currently available or planned for delivery of the documents. Example: Downloading the Website 4. THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT SEEKING ANY INFORMATION RELATING TO COST; but, information relating to processes or considerations of how the vendor might provide the documents would be helpful. EXAMPLE: Unlimited downloads and unlimited concurrent users or limited downloads with additional downloads at an increased cost. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY PRICING FOR THE PROCESS. 5. Additional information the vendor may deem appropriate to describe how the service could be provided in an efficient and effective manner.
