This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1. The request for quotations (RFQ)number is R1-08-01-27. 2. SPECIFICATIONS FOR VEHICLE RENTAL WITHOUT OPERATOR. It is estimated that 1 or up to 4 vehicles may be ordered for each type of vehicle listed, depending on availability of funds for this procurement. Vehicles must be 2000 or 2001 models having no more than 25,000 miles; unlimited mileage must be included; Gov't reserves the right to drill holes underneath the dash board in order to install Government radios and also to drill four holes in the pickup bed in order to mount a slip-on pumper unit. All vehicles to be delivered by the Contractor to the Custer National Forest, 1310 Main Street, Billings, MT 59105 before or on May 1, 2001 and picked up on October 31, 2001. 6. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial (Oct 2000), applies to this acquisition. 6.
