Description

Work consists of providing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, and all else necessary to complete the Repair of 08 Approach Lights at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. The work involved includes, but is not limited to: Removing and replacing existing junction boxes, mounting support, conductors for approach/strobe lights on the 08 end of the runway; repairing existing broken conduits inside the river at station 15 and rerouting conduits between station 16 and station 17; replacing existing conductors from station 15 to station 17; replacing existing 600 volt cable from master control cabinet to all strobes junction boxes; replacing elevated taxiway light fixtures with flush fixtures; installing four new moon marker signs and replacing four moon marker signs; providing spare parts as shown on drawing; additive #1. Retrofitting 18 existing distance marker signs; additive #2. Replacing 18 existing distance marker signs; additive #3. Providing two new distance marker signs and new pads; additive #4. Replacing _ELEV-72_ sign on taxiway B; additive #5. Refeeding Guidance Sign on taxiway E and taxiway D; additive #6. Providing 80 flush taxiway light fixtures. Fixtures to be installed by others. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. This will be a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract with 180 days construction performance time. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 235310 with a three-year average annual small business size standard of $7 million. This will be an unrestricted, sealed bid acquisition. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 27 Apr 01 on the Governments Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. You must register on that site in order to receive notification of any changes to the solicitation. Please submit any questions regarding the solicitation in writing at the site visit.
