Description

The Big Valley Ranger District, Modoc National Forest, intends to acquire services for DLM Precommercial Thinning. The project includes mechanical and/or chainsaw precommercial thinning with removal or handpiling or chipping and blowing the slash on 808 acres of natural stands within the Diaz Timber Sale, Letterbox Timber Sale and Miller Timber Sale areas. Project areas are located southeast of Adin, CA in the Diaz Timber Sale area; south of Adin, CA in the Letterbox Timber Sale area; and northwest of Adin, CA in the Miller Timber Sale area. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 6, 2001, 10:00 AM at the Big Valley Ranger District office in Adin, CA. Desired date for starting work is July 16, 2001.
