Description

Renovate restrooms in Kihei, Maui HI to comply with ADAAG text: Intent of Contract: This notice is to announce that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to renovate two Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Design Guidelines (ADAAG) compliant restrooms for the National Oceanic Service (NOS) Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary located in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. The successful bidder will be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the renovation work. The renovation work includes, but is not limited to, site work, selective demolition, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and electrical wiring. All requests for documents must be in writing. If overnight service is required, please provide overnight carrier account number. Telephone inquiries regarding the nature of the project will not be accepted. No telephone calls for solicitations will be accepted. A site visit and pre-bid conference will take place on or about May 8, 2001 at the project site. The conference will begin at 10:00 AM at the Sanctuary's Visitor Center. The Sanctuary is located at 726 South Kihei Road. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. No collect calls will be accepted. Cost Range of Project: The cost for construction is between $40,000 and $60,000. Duration of Contract: The period of performance shall not exceed sixty (60) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. This is a simplified acquisition, 100% small business set-aside.
