Description

The 36th Contracting Squadron, Andersen AFB, Guam, is seeking potential sources, industry comments, product information, prior to release of any potential solicitation, for construction of one hundred (100) pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) to deliver and install on existing concrete tent pads at Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory. The buildings will be approximately 32' x 16' (5m x 9.5m) each and include window-mounted air conditioning units that will connect to existing service connections at each concrete pad, 4,700 sq meters total. Potential terms and conditions such as estimated delivery schedule is desired. The availability of shipment to Diego Garcia will be addressed in a RFP. Issuance of a formal RFP is anticipated in June 2001. A firm fixed price supply type contract is contemplated. This announcement serves to facilitate development of the RFP, and is NOT a formal solicitation and is NOT a request for proposal. Availability of the formal solicitation will be announced separately. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes ONLY, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233220. We request interested parties submit a brief capability statement to include company name, points of contact, business size, and prior experience data from similar requirements. Business size data may be used to determine possibility and extent of potential set-aside action. Any information submitted may or may not be included in future procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent.
