Description

The Naval Air Warfare Command-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) intends to procure (4) Upper Waveguide Sections (Part Number2952-D-009-1 Rev (-) with ECOs 4806, 4807, 4921, 4934, 4958, 5016, 5039, and 5106) from Microwave Communication Company, Inc., 24807 Avenue Tibbitts, Valencia, CA, 91354. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer, MCCI was a participant with the antenna designer in the Design, Development and Qualification of the Dish and Feed assembly. The tooling and process resultant from this design and development process are the unique capabilities possessed by MCCI necessary to assure the functionality of these devices when interfaced with the other parts of the LAMPS Antenna. This procurement is being contracted on the basis of "other than full and open competition pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other goods or services will satisfy agency requirements). This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by contacting Ms. Patti Ashley at ashleypc@navair.navy.mil later than 15 days after publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
