THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR 1-168-RFI.1078 Piezo-Electric Etalon. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to make changes and additions to the specifications. Therefore, the following changes are made: 1) The following shall be added at the end of the first paragraph which reads "The etalons shall be equivalent to space flight-like assemblies and shall be treated and handled according to conditions commensurate with cleanliness standards established for high quality scientific optical instrumentation." Add the following after this sentence ", i.e.; The optics/opto-mechanical portion shall be high rel and the electronics shall be good grade commercial." 2) The following is hereby added as the top line of the chart: SYSTEM FOV with 5 mr under PZT #1 and under PZT #2. 3) In the chart where it reads "Out-of-Band Blocking (avg) it shall be changed to read "Contrast Ratio". 4) After the second sentence in the paragraph ELECTRICAL/SOFTWARE CONTROL REQUIREMENTS the following is hereby added "The maximum update rate of the controller shall be specified as 50 Hz." 5) The required delivery date is hereby changed from 7/15/01 to 8/15/01. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to April 20, 2001. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on April 19, 2001. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
