Description
This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15)days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government intends to place an award with Linpac Material Handling located in Georgetown, Kentucky for the purchase of two hundred (200) each plastic collapsible bulk containers. These containers have been thoroughly tested and observed in the field under fleet operating conditions and meet all the Government requirements. The specifications for the collapsible bulk container is as follows: 39 inch height option, with 2 drop doors (PN 403902) and smooth, open bottom base design; OPTIONS to include: each container will come with a cover (PN 4048CO) with area for drop doors cut to allow drop door opening when lid is secure in place; no additional latching/locking hardware is necessary on lid; side walls will have the series of open slots to accomodate banding down internal loads through side walls; 8-1/2 inch X 11 inch clear plastic label holders (PN: LABL02), 4 per container; one mounted on inside of each drop door with opening facing sideways to the right; 4.25 inch x 6.75 inch black plastic label holders (PN: LABL00), 2 per container mounted on outside, one per 40 inch sidewall; vinyl plates, 2 per container; white background with black text lettering ID plate will state the following: PROPERTY OF DDDC, RETURN TO BLDG 3304 FOR PICKUP, CALL (619) 556-7844. If other than Linpac containers are proposed, the contractor shall supply sufficient technical information and a sample to demonstrate that the proposed containers will meet the Government requirement. A written response must be recived by the issuing office not later than 25 Apr 01. Written response must contain complete technical information, company name, mailing address, POC, phone and fax number. NOTE: ALL SOURCES MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACT REGISTRATION DATABASE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. Registration may be done on line at www.ccr2000.com. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 326199 and the size standard to meet the set-aside requirement is 500 employees.
