Description
This modification is to advise Offerors that the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform Request For Proposal (RFP)has been released. The RFP is available at the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center-Natick Contracting Division web page at: http://www3.natick.army.mil (go to Business Opportunities, then to Ongoing Acquisitions, then to this solicitation number). The Government is NOT employing Award Term acquisition strategy, instead Option CLINS are included. The solicitation includes a CLIN for First Article Test (NSP), a First Lot Production Test CLIN, a Second Lot Production Test CLIN, a Base Production Period, and 3 one-year Option Periods. The Government anticipates awarding 3 contracts (2 Unrestricted Award Portions, and 1 Small Business Set-aside Portion). The total quantities will be as follows: 40% for the First Unrestricted Award Portion; 40% For the Second Unrestricted Portion, and 20% for the Small Business Set-aside Award Portion. There are no minimum guarantee quantities for the First and Second Lot Production CLINs. The Guaranteed Minimum, and Maximum for the Production Periods are as follows: Base Production Period: Unrestricted Award Portions -- Guaranteed Minimun 120,000 sets for each Unrestricted Award portion; 60,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside Award Portion. Maximum: 200,000 sets for each Unrestricted portion; 100,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside. First Optional Production Period: Unrestricted Award Portions -- Guaranteed Minimun 120,000 sets for each Unrestricted Award portion; 60,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside Award Portion. Maximum: 200,000 sets for each Unrestricted portion; 100,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside. Second Optional Production Period: Unrestricted Award Portions -- Guaranteed Minimun 120,000 sets for each Unrestricted Award portion; 60,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside Award Portion. Maximum: 240,000 sets for each Unrestricted portion; 120,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside. Third Optional Production Period: Unrestricted Award Portions -- Guaranteed Minimun 120,000 sets for each Unrestricted Award portion; 60,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside Award Portion. Maximum: 240,000 sets for each Unrestricted portion; 120,000 sets for the Small Business Set-aside. Offerors are required to submit proposals on both Blouses and respective Trousers, awards will only be made for both items (i.e. blouses and trousers will not be split). Questions concerning this solicitation shall be directed to Mr. Thomas Bouchard, Contract Specialist, at the e-mail address noted below, no later than 10 days prior to the closing date of the solicitation. Questions received after that date may not receive a response. Proposals are due on or before 4:00 pm (EST)on May 10, 2001 as specified in the solicitation. No hard copies of the solicitation will be available.
