Description

The U.S. Department of Energy, Nevada Operations Office (DOE/NV), intends to solicit on a sole source basis the purchase of parts and installation by Kaval Wireless Technologies for replacement of existing Radio Frequency (FR) extension hardware and services for a facility located at the Nevada Test Site (NTS). The original system was installed in 1995 and this replacement is needed to support the new channels assigned with the Base Support Trunked Radio System (BSTRS). Kaval has developed this unique system and is the only provider of this micro-network infrastructure. Replacement of only the obsolete system components will avoid a substantial duplication of cost to the Government.
