Description
The U.S. Customs Service at JFK International Airport, Jamaica, New York, has a requirement for medical services to be provided for international passengers entering the United States that are suspected of internal concealment of illegal drugs into the country. These services shall include a medical facility capable of offering on-site x-ray, radiographic evaluation, pregnancy tests for female suspects, medical examinations, and physician services available 24 hours per day. The facility must be open 24 hours a day and provide prompt service upon the arrival of Customs inspectors. The medical services shall include internment of the patients. The facility must have ward space for up to 10 patients to include a separate wing for 5 female patients and a separate wing for 5 male patients. The facility must have around-the-clock monitoring of the patients and life support capabilities for emergencies, with an ambulance on call to handle any emergencies. The facility must be on the premises of JFK International Airport. This is necessary for the Customs inspectors safe, efficient, economical, and timely transport and processing of the suspects. The performance period for the proposed contract has a one year base period with option for four one-year renewals. This is a proposed Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity type of contract. For each fiscal year, to include the base and four option years, if exercised, the minimum amount of each delivery order or services rendered will be $25,000.00, and the maximum amount of each order or services rendered will not exceed $700,000.00. If this requirement is extended through a five-year performance period, the minimum cumulative total of all orders issued will be $125,000.00, and the maximum cumulative total will not exceed $3,500,000.00. This is a full and open competition and all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency.
