Description

The USCG Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) is conducting a Market Survey to determine if sources are capable of satisfying the agency_s requirement and to obtain public comment(s) regarding the most cost effective or efficient method to accomplish this work. Project Description: Design/Build IDIQ, Task Orders to range from $5K to $1M. Anticipate average cost of a project (Task Order) to be $300K. A listing of approximately five projects will be outlined in the solicitation. The intent is to award what is listed with the flexibility to add additional projects. Anticipate two awards _ (1) to cover the Great Lakes; and (2) the Eastern Coast line (between DE and NC). Potential sources may be either an A/E Design firm or a Construction Contractor. However, if both disciplines can not be performed in house a Joint Venture would be required. A copy of the DRAFT SOW is posted seprately under 01-DB-IDIQ Draft SOW A/E Design/Build IDIQ. Specific Survey Information Desired: a) Name and addresses (including phone numbers and POCs) of Contractor_s interested in and capable of doing this work; b) Any contractor restrictions to performing the complete Scope of Work. For example indicate if your operations are limited to certain geographical areas; c) Any ideas to do this type of work economically and streamlined; d) Indicate if your firm is a Small or Large Business, HUBZone and/or 8(a). All responses should be submitted by 30 April 2001 to the Contracting Officer, USCG CEU, Attn: Pam/01-DB-IDIQ, 1240 E. Ninth St., Rm. 2179, Cleveland, OH 44199-2060. This RFI is issued for the sole purpose of obtaining information from prospective offerors. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be issued at this time.
