Description
Proposals are requested to revise, continuously update and deliver a training course that provides a general introduction and overview of managing the cost of ADA paratransit services. The course covers the basic concepts of maximizing the efficiency of operations. The course will cover ways to reduce the cost per trip of providing ADA paratransit through better contracting methods, more efficient scheduling and reducing passenger no-shows. The course will introduce incentives and programs that encourage riders to use general public transportation services instead of paratransit and how to apply ADA service criteria. This one-day course will be offered to paratransit professionals involved in the daily management and operations of paratransit services, transit agency finance professionals and transit planners involved in the planning and evaluation of paratransit services at transit agencies and state DOTs. The contract will require a list of materials, course outline, instructor's guide, participant manual, presentation of a pilot session and delivery of the course thirty-five (35) times during the five-year contract period. NTI will require proposers to have had experience with the subject matter as well as experience in developing and delivering training programs. To obtain a copy of the complete RFP, send a written request on organization letterhead to the University Procurement & Contracting address above. Fax or e-mail requests will be accepted; telephone requests are unacceptable. RFPs will not be faxed. Requests received by May 8, 2001 will be honored. Rutgers University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to provide opportunities to small businesses, minority-owned businesses and/or female-owned businesses. These businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
