Description
Scope of Work for Request for Quotation for Air Charter Services 1. Air charter services are required for air transportation of 6 passengers originating in Traverse City, MI. to Waukegan, IL. and return to Traverse City, MI. for a total of 16 round trips. 2. Passengers departing from Cherry Capital Airport, Traverse City, MI. will be picked up at the U.S. Coast Guard hangar at 1175 Airport Access Rd., Traverse City, MI. 49686. They will be transported to the U.S. Coast guard Air Facility Waukegan Airport at 2440 W. Air Lane, Waukegan, IL. 60087. Passengers returning from Waukegan, IL. will be delivered to the U.S. Coast Guard hangar in Traverse City, MI. 3. Each trip departing from Traverse City, MI. to Waukegan IL. is required to depart Traverse City, MI. at 12:00PM EDT. The return trip from Waukegan, IL. to Traverse City, MI. is required immediately upon on loading of the passengers returning to Traverse City, MI. from Waukegan, IL. In the event those passengers are detained due to operational commitments, the return trip from Waukegan, IL to Traverse City, MI. will delay (not to exceed 4 hours) until those passengers are available and on-loaded. 4. First Flight required will be one-way, transporting passengers from Traverse City, MI. to Waukegan, IL. on Friday, May 25, 2001. 5. First required round trip flight: Wednesday, May 30, 2001. 6. All other round trip flights are required every Wednesday. 7. Final flight required will be one-way, transporting passengers from Waukegan, IL. to Traverse City, MI. on Monday, September 4, 2001. 8. Multi-engine IFR Certified. 9. Pilot Minimums: The pilot in command must be commercial and instrument rated. 1000 total flight hours, 300 flight hours in type. 10. Aircraft must be ice capable. 11. Aircraft must be Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 135 Compliant (i.e. life jackets, rafts, etc.) and carry an operable emergency locator transmitter. 12. Aircraft must be capable of transporting six (6) passengers plus an additional 500 lbs. Of gear/supplies. Storage of gear/supplies must not impede any aircraft exit, either normal or emergency. 13. Aircraft must be HAZMAT capable: Materials include various oils, freon, pyrotechnics from life jackets and possible rafts needed to be flown from Traverse City, MI> to Waukegan, IL. and return.
