NOTICE INVITING BIDS. The U.S. Department of Labor/Management & Training Corporation will be accepting sealed bids on Demolition of Apartment Buildings. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held Thursday, May 3, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center, 5005 Echo Avenue, Reno, Nevada (Stead Facility). The estimated range of cost is $500,000 -- $1,000,000. The Construction Bid Package will be available for distribution at the Pre-Bid Conference, and contains specifics for submission of bids and the Construction Scope of Work. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory for any individual or company interested in submitting a bid on this project. Interested individuals/companies may send a representative(s) on their behalf if they are unable to attend the Pre-Bid Conference. A general description of the project is as follows: The Scope of Work provides for construction services for the asbestos abatement and demolition of three apartment buildings at Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center, Reno, Nevada. Each building contains a total of approximately 16,590 gross square feet. The work shall also include miscellaneous site demolition including general landscaping, roads, parking, etc.
