Description

Work consists of constructing a new deck and railing system for Umtanum Bridge. Work includes clearing and grubbing, demolition of existing deck and railing system for entire bridge length, disposal of debris, construction of new deck and railing system, surface preparation of steel surfaces under timber deck system and applying new paint system to these localized areas. An optional bid item includes complete removal of the existing coating system and applying a new coating system. Project site is located in Kittitas County, Spokane District, Washington. Project range for the base bid is between $25,000 and $100,000 and the option item is between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimated Issue Date: April 30, 2001 Estimated start work is July 9, 2001. Performance time: base bid -- 60 calendar days; option item -- 45 calendar days. Bonds are required -- Bid Bond: 20%; Performance Bond: 100%; and Payment Bond: 100%. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
