Description

Notice is given of the intent to negotiate a sole-sourced acquisition with Honeywell, Inc., 140 Oxmoor Blvd., Suite E, Birmingham, AL 35209. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, parts, components, equipment, software and/or firmwareupgrades necessary to provide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Honeywell Energy Monitoring and Control System (EMCS) and Integrated Building Control Systems (IBCS)at Fort Rucker, AL. The contractor shall be responsible for Honeywell excel building supervisors, field interface devices, multiplexers, and IBCS as well as all modems, interface devices, and ancillary devices. Preventive maintenance shall include all services required to maintain the systems and associated equipment at maximum performance and reliability levels. All test results and work performed shall be recorded on daily service reports. Any factory retrofits manufactured by Honeywell for the EMCS or IBCS as a whole or for specific components shall be procured by the contractor and completely implemented into the system at the contractors expense. Services will be for the periord 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002 with four option years. Honeywell has proprietary rights to all software in the system. Fort Rucker is currently using the privately developed technical data and software exclusively for its own purpose and connot release this information to any third parties. See Note 22. Copies of the Request for Proposals (RFP) are not available.
