Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, Tennessee intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Rhodes Lauck and Associates, 3268 Commercial Parkway, Memphis, TN 38116 for the purchase and installation of a Lanier CQUENCE Dictation Management Systen and a General Electric K2020RR Pathspeed Dictation Dialer. Items will upgrade an existing General Electric (GE) Picture Achiving and Communications System (PACS). The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Rhodes Lauck and Associates to provide all labor, materials, supplies and installation for upgrading the existing GE PACS. The proposed action is for supplies and services for which the government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies and services that will satisfy the agency requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, but responses received on or before April 17, 2001 will be evaluated. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
