- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 01SQ170906 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335312. The small business size standard is 1000 employees. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the following: CLIN 1: Pump, submersible, vertical, 550-600 gpm, 25 feet of head, nominal 4 inch inlet, 3 inch IPS outlet; thermoplastic, cantilevered shaft; bearingless (no bearing immersed in pumped fluid); dry running capability; all immersed pump parts and hardware to be homogeneous thermoplastic; no metal or thermoset composites in fluid contact; clog-free, recessed impeller, maximum impeller housing OD 16 inch; heavy duty external ball bearings, housed in an epoxy-coated cast iron motor bracket that accommodates NEMA, IEC and European standard motors; motor with TEFC enclosure, 230/460V, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 15 hp, 1750 rpm; quiet running, durable flexible coupling to isolate motor from hydraulic thrust force; nonmetallic vapor seal to protect metal motor bracket assembly from corrosive fumes; solid thermoplastic sump cover plate resistant to corrosive liquid or vapor; 36 inch sump depth, 316 stainless steel shaft, enclosed in polypropylene case; heavy sectioned solid thermoplastic strainer; Vanton SGK PY2000B, or equal -- 4 EACH. Sufficient information must be included with your bid for evaluation, if providing an equal. State Warranty on each item. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Oct 2000), 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Oct 2000) must be filled in and included with your quote, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (May 1999), 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (Aug 2000), 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999) and 52.247-34 F.O.B. Destination(Nov 1991), Clause 52.212-5, paragraph (b) is tailored to incorporate the following clauses by reference: 52.222-26(Feb 1999), 52.222-35(Apr 1998), 52.222-36(June 1998), 52.222-37(Jan 1999), and 52.225-1(Feb 2000). The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the Government, based on items meeting the specification, price and price-related factors, and delivery schedule considered in descending order of importance as listed here. Evaluation and award will be made using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13. The closing date for receipt of offers is April 27, 2001.
