Description

General issue spectacle frame. Commercial, off-the-shelf frame that will replace the military S-9 frame. The new spectacle frame shall be: a)available in a range of sizes and temple lengths, b)available with and without nose pads, c)composed of ophthalmic plastic material, d)available with either skull or cable temples and, e)male/female or unisex. The temple shall not restrict peripheral vision. No color is specified. The Governments objective is to procure a frame that meets commercial standards such as the ANSI Z-87.1 or comparable ASTM standards.
