Description

1. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Washington, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on behalf of the Naval Medical Center, Bldg. 54, Bethesda, MD 20889-5600 for Laundry Services. These services shall include washing/drying, presswork, folding, and pick-up and delivery of soiled and clean linens to be completed within twenty-four (24) hours. The estimated quantity is 1,750,000 pounds (1bs) per year. Laundry pick-up and delivery is to National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD 20889-5600. The period of performance is for one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options and the option at 52.217-8 for up to six (6) additional months of service. This will be awarded on an unrestricted basis for Full and Open Competition under FAR 6.101. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 812320 with standard of $3.5 million. All responsible sources may submit and offer, however, only items meeting the Navy's requirements will be considered for technical review. All offers must be received in this office no later than 2:00 p.m. (EST) on 17 May 2001.
