Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, supplies and materials necessary to conduct a pedestrian (foot) heritage resources survey at a level of intensity sufficient to cover 100 percent of the Viveash Fire Salvage Project Area. The total acreage of the designated area is 8136 acres. The purpose of the survey is to locate and record all cultural resource sites and isolated cultral material within the project area and to compile a report of the findings that can be used for compliance with Section 106 of the National Hictoric Preservation Act of 1966 (amended). Thus, a primary objective of the survey is to determine if there are properties within the project area that appear to meet the criteria for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. Project is located on the Santa Fe National Forest on the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District.
