Description

This is a Request for Quote from The Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) who intends to conduct a full and open competitive simplified acquisition. The purpose of this requirement is to conduct community-based events during the month of September celebrating the 12th Annual National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month festivities. The contractor shall be responsible for working with local community agencies to organize Recovery Month events in the following cities: Columbus or Cincinnati, Ohio; Baltimore, Maryland; Phoenix, Arizona; Detroit, Michigan; Chicago, Illinois; Los Angeles, California; St. Paul and/or Minneapolis, Minnesota; Washington, D. C. (Metropolitan approach through Council of governments to include Virginia and Maryland); Boston, Massachusetts; Atlanta, Georgia; New York, New York; Hartford, Connecticut; Harrisburg and Bucks County, Pennsylvania; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Portland, Oregon; Madison, Wisconsin; Jacksonville, Florida; St. Louis and/or Kansas City, Missouri; and New Orleans, Louisiana. The month-long celebration shall educate policymakers, federal, state and local government entities, business leaders, substance abuse providers, and the general public about substance abuse as a national public health problem affecting millions of people and the crucial role substance abuse treatment plays in reclaiming lives ravaged by alcoholism and drug addiction.
