Description

Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center has a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) in place that was issued on a sole-source basis to Raytheon McKinney TX for the repair, maintenance and upgrade of the FLIR and multi-sensor systems installed onboard the Navy's SH-60R multi-mission helicopter. The BOA was place in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 in the estimated amount of $49,900,000.00 as approved on 13 September 2000 by the NSWC Headquarters Competition Advocate Approving Official. The basis for restricting competition was the proprietary information of Raytheon and the duplicative cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and the unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement. This synopsis is issued to advertise requirements that will be met through orders placed under the BOA for a six month period. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this agency. Numbered Note 22 applies.
