Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award one (1) VT Appliance and Repair Instructor. All duties will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution / Federal Satellite Low -- Elkton, Ohio. Instruction will include a general understanding of electrical appliances, basic electronics, basic "shop safety" and business concepts. Topics and level of instruction will be comparable to high school and/or community education classes. The program is not required to be certified. Instruction is expected to be individualized and self-paced. It is anticipated that enrollment will range from a minimum of 12-20 students per class. The contractor must have a working knowledge of small appliance repair which is demonstrated through past experience. The term of the contract will be from date of award through 12 months and include four -- (one year) option periods. The contractor will conduct approximately three (3) sessions per week. Each session is defined as 7.5 hours in length to be performed Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM -- 3:30 PM.
