Description

Air, Motor Freight Transportation, and Warehousing. The Defense Distribution Center located in New Cumberland, PA has a requirement for a Premium Service System; a Contractor Owned Contractor Operated (COCO) facility providing commercially available expedited delivery services that will be used to provide Department of Defense (DoD) and other agency customers an alternative distribution system for handling candidate items and reducing stock levels. Contractor shall be required to provide a distribution warehouse facility, supply an installed system capable of managing material storage, receipts, issues, and delivery of items from the facility to destinations worldwide. OCONUS destinations may require customs clearance. Contractor's system shall accommodate customer orders placed by phone, fax, or Internet. All equipment, labor, and other services and/or materiel required to support the Performance Work (PWS) shall be furnished by the Contractor, except those services that are specifically identified as being Government furnished. The Contractor shall provide training and training material for Government employees as specified within the PWS. This procurement will be solicited and awarded on an unrestricted basis. For information purposes, the NAICS code is 48112. Business size standard is 1500 employees. Proposals will be evaluated to result in the selection of the offer providing the best value to the Government. A firm fixed-price service contract for a period of 5 years is expected.
