Description

The Project consist of the construction of an approximately 4,307 sq meter facility with site improvements including electrical service, parking, driveways, walkways, water, gas, fiber optic lines, and the demolition of existing structures. Construction comprises the use of the following: concrete, asphalt pavement, solid turfing (sod), seeding, top soil, structural steel, metal decking, cold-formed light gauge steel framing members (trusses and studs), standing seam metal roof, gypsum board, vinyl wall covering, vinyl composition tile, ceramic tile, quarry tile, acoustical ceiling and suspension system, carpet (broadloom and tiles), rubber base, paint, EIFS, building insulation, aluminum entrance systems, aluminum windows, HM doors and frames, bathroom accessories, window blinds, toilet partitions, lockers, projection screens, signage (interior and exterior), plumbing fixtures and piping, HVAC, sprinkler system, electrical fixtures, electrical systems (fire alarm, telephone, power, cable, EMCS, and data), and miscellaneous items. In addition there are Bid Options including, but not limited to, the construction of an approx. 54 sq. meter canopy; and the design-build installation and maintenance of an Interim Modular Facility (approx 982 sq meters). It is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The North American Industrial Classification Standard is 233320 and the size standard is $27.5 Million. Project Duration is approximately 540 calendar days. Estimated magnitude of work is between $5 -- 10 Million. Issue date for solicitation will be on or about May 11, 2001. This project is unrestricted. The solicitation is available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and provided free of charge. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
