Description
The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential Small Business sources able to perform Maintenance Dredging at Santa Barbara Harbor, California. It is anticipated that one contract will be aw Julie Ayala arded in the amount of $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. The total contract duration is three (3) years or 30 April 2004. Interested Small Business Concerns must submit a narrative describing their firms' capabilities based on the following requirements: Describe capability to dredge approximately 200,000 CM in 30 days; tell how you would dredge in a range from 0.0 M to 10 M. (MLLW); describe how you would maintain a submerged pipeline crossing in navigation channels without impact to shipping and boating activities; describe how you would dredge material from fines, sand, gravel, and cobbles, other materials encountered may include tires, trash, debris, etc.; describe how you would accomplish work in a high-energy wave environment; describe your methods of dredging and capability of placing dredged material on the beach for beach nourishment up to 2500 Meters from harbor (pipeline must cross Mission Creek and Laguna Channel); describe your ability to operate in open water (outside line of demarcation)-ABS Classification or U.S.C.G. Certification and Inspection; must possess/meet all Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (SBAPCD) Permits and Requirements at time of contract award. Dredge must meet Best Available Technology for mitigation of air quality impacts. This has been zero emissions; describe previous experience dredging in ocean environment (list examples); list equipment, expected production rates and methods used to accomplish work (include contingencies for primary equipment failure). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 23499 All Other Heavy Construction, Except Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, $17.0M average annual gross revenue for the last three (3) fiscal years. In addition to the narrative, firms must submit a short list of recent projects completed that closely matches the work described above. This list must include names and current telephone numbers of the owner, engineer, architect or General Contractor familiar with the work performed. Firms responding to this announcement, which fail to provide the required information, will not be considered. Responses to this notice must be received by close of business on 03 May 2001. Responses received after this date will not be considered. Facsimile and telephonic responses will not be accepted.
