Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is USZA95-01-T-0033, and is issued as a Request For Quotation. The due date is April 30, 2001 NLT 2:00PM est. Facsimile quotes are acceptable. The Government intends to award this acquisition sole source to Rockwell Collins, Government systems, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498. The items that the Government desires to purchase are: 2 ea. 188Q-3, SIU, P/N: 622-6295-001; 4 ea, NAC-80, Vert. Accel., P/N: 229-0324-010; and 1 ea, LAC-80, Lateral/Long.Accel, P/N: 229-0324-020. Because of compatibility issues, no substitutions or equals shall be acceptable. Rockwell is the sole manufacturer of the SIU. Since the Government cannot procure the NACs and LACs directly from the manufacturer, it appears that it would be in the best interest of the Government to procure all items from Rockwell. Note 22 applies. If any other offerors submit a quote, it will be considered. The solicitation document, provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (to be completed and submitted with offer); 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items; 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items; and 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System assigned code is D0A1. The associated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336413.
