Description

Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: BASE ITEMS: (1) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel and Oil Tanks, (2) Clean, Inspect and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks (3) Clean and Inspect Voids and Ballast Tanks, (4) Clean and Inspect Sewage Seal and Holding Tanks , (5) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (6) Renew Shaft Seal (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller, (8) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring(s), (9) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves, (10) Inspect Steering System, (11) Inspect and Test Steering System Relief Valves, (12) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assembly, (13) Renew Rudder Bearings, (14) Paneling Removal and Replacement, (15) Preserve 01 Weather Deck, (16) Coating Thickness Measurement Non-Destructive, (16) Provide Temporary Logistics, (17) Provide Temporary Messing, (18) Provide Temporary Berthing, (19) Provide Temporary Logistics, (20) Routine Drydocking, (21) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. OPTION ITEMS: (1) Perform Minor Coating Repairs for Potable Water Tank(s), (2) Perform Minor Coating Repairs for Ballast Tank(s), (3) Perform Minor Coating Repairs Sewage Holding Tank(s), (4) Renew Shaft Covering (5) Renew Stern Tube Bearing Staves, (6) Renew Forward and AFT Shaft Sleeves, (7) Minor Repair and Recondition Propeller, (8) Renew Waster Pieces, (9) Preserve and Disinfect Potable water tanks, (10) Preserve Sewage Collection Tank(s), (11) Preserve Underwater Body, (12) Draft Figures, (13) Additional Temporary Messing, (14) Additional Temporary Berthing, (15) Additional Temporary Logistics, (16) Ultrasonic Testing, (17) Composite Labor Rates, (18) Laydays. THE VESSEL IS GEOGRAPHICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE GREAT LAKES AREA. Vessel's availability is for FORTY-TWO (42) days, starting JULY 30, 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD Rom. The CD Rom sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued electronically at http://www.eps.gov/ and upon written request by mail on or about APRIL 9, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "ATTENTION: MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBES).
