Description

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Product Manager Small Arms (PMSA), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, intends to issue an Request for Quote (RFQ) to Harris Engineering under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is for ultralight, low-profile bipod, Model #1A2-BR. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received by the close of business 30 days after publication of notice will be considered by the Government. Responses received after the above date or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a response under this synopsis. Acquisition Streamlining Procedures will include posting the RFQ on the TACOM- ARDEC Acquisition Center website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil on April 23, 2001. This acquisition will be processed 100% electronically. Paper copies of the solicitation shall not be provided and no paper submissions will be accepted.
