Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) has a requirement to procure an Underwater Egress Trainer. Minimal specifications include -- (1) modular design with fully interchangeable interior and exterior panels/bulkheads/emergency egress exits that accurately replicate the following helicopters: CH-47, CH-53, and SH-60. Must seat minimum of 8 students. Trainer will be located in an enclosed pool but must be a "stand a lone" design. Trainer must be capable of being reconfigured within 45 minutes to a CH47, CH53 or SH60. (2) 1 year Lease with option to buy or buy. (3) Delivery must be made within 120 days of contract award. (4) Trainer support structure to be contractor-provided and will not be attached to any building support other than the pool deck. All interested firms are requested to respond to this pre-solicitation notice in writing not later than 25 April 2001. Include in your response the size of your business, the status of your business and whether you are responding as a potential prime contractor or subcontractor. Potential offerors are advised that the Government reserves the right to subsequently set this acquisition aside for small business or small and disadvantaged business should a reasonable number of qualified businesses respond to this synopsis.
