Description

Construct a new Standing Seam Metal Retrofit (SSMR) roof on top of the existing Laboratory Building No. 1 at the Tifton, GA, ARS facility. The roof is approximately 20,000 square feet. There will be one additive alternate of approximately 132 square feet of roofing covering a smoking area. The new SSMR roof will be supported by a new retrofit metal skeleton attached to the existing building's framing. The new SSMR framing will create a 3 in 12 slope. Existing rooftop mounted equipment, including laboratory fume hood exhaust fans, will be extended and will sit on new curbs on the new metal roof. The estimated price is expected to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Request the solicitation in writing or via fax (706-546-3444) from Pat Jones, Procurement Technician.
