Description

The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Proposals for the paving of campground roads, parking lots, and camping spurs in two campgrounds. Work items include overlaying the existing chip-sealed aggregate surface with approximately 2,741 metric tons of hot bituminous plant mix. Some areas of the existing road surface will require a leveling course, removal of vegetation from road shoulders and parking lots, reconstruction of ditches, removal of log parking barriers, and installation of concrete parking curbs. The project is located on the Seeley Lake Ranger District, Lolo National Forest, Missoula County, Montana. Issue date, approximately April 25, 2001. A Pre-bid Tour is scheduled for May 8, 2001. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000.
