Description

The 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis AFB NV intends to award a purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the purchase of two Hammonds or equal, Automatic Tablet Chlorinator Systems. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation (F26600-01-Q-A038) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24 and the Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This solicitation is 100% SETASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS in accordance with FAR Part 19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333911, size standard 500. The contractor shall provide the following: Transportation, delivery to destination, tools, instructions (to include manuals) for CLIN 0001: ISSICAMFPCO8PEH75HP220SVAC chlorinator system, QTY 1 ea. Operating Conditions: Application: CRC Water; Main System Flow Rate: Variable 300 GPM-1000 GPM; Desired Chlorine Residual: 0.2-2.0 LBS/HR; Chlorinator System Inlet Pressure: 30-70 PSI (Inlet PRV required); Chlorinator System Outlet Pressure: 80-PSI Maximum; Electric Voltage available: 220V AC, single phase (electrician verified). CLIN 0002: ISSICAFPC12FX75LP220SVAC chlorinator system, QTY 1 ea. Operating Conditions: Application: Wells; Main System Flow Rate: #11@332 GPM, #12@540 GPM, #13@540 GPM, #14@449 GPM Total combined =1762 GPM; Desired Chlorine Residual: 1.0 PPM; Demand PPM 0.5; Chlorine Required: #11@0.25, #12@0.34, #13@0.41, #14@0.33 Combined @ 1.33 LBS/HR; Chlorinator System Inlet Pressure: 40 PSI (Inlet PRV required); Chlorinator System Outlet Pressure: 5.62-13.85 PSI; Electric Voltage Available: 220V AC Single Phase (electrician verified). Offerors must provide brochures/literature and specification of the items being offered along with their quote. The technical literature submitted needs to clearly communicate the offeror understanding and compliance with the minimum requirements as set forth in the specifications or any alternative proposal submitted in response to this RFQ. Discussions may or may not be held with offeror; therefore, each offeror proposal should be complete and accurate. The Government requires FOB destination. FOB point is Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada 89191. The required delivery date is 29 May 2001.
