Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is USZA95-01-T-0035, and is issued as a Request For Quotation. The due date is April 20, 2001 NLT 12:00Noon est. The Government intends to award this acquisition sole source to Consensys Corporation, 1301 Pat Booker Road, Universal City, TX 78148. The item being procured is 3 ea. Terabyte Capacity Network Storage Map Server, with the following specifications: 15 Bay NAS Rack Expandable to 3 Rack System, 15x 80GB drives installed, dual CPU motherboard, dual 800 MHZ CPUs installed, 256 MB ECC RAM installed, dual 100 base T networking, integral CD-ROM Drive, built-in LCD Console & keypad, 24" rails. Product RS15-R1200-15x80 was evaluated on-site at Ft. Campbell, KY for 30 days. It performs to meet the end-users mission. Prior to evaluating the server from Consensys, market research was performed with several other sources. No other product could perform with the same or equal satisfaction. The solicitation document, provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24. The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (to be completed and submitted with offer); 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items; and 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System assigned code is D0A1. The associated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 443120.
