Description

This solicitation is to provide Medical Transcription Services to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Wilkes-Barre, PA. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment (unless specified otherwise), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure turnaround time ranges from 2 hours for STAT reports and 24 hours for routine reports. Transcription Services are required 24/7 and shall be performed at the Contractor's place of business, outside the premises of the VA facility. Material to be transmitted includes a high incidence of techical, medical terminology and requires a wide knowledge of specified vocabulary peculiar to a wide variety of subjects in the fields of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, rehabilitation, dental, imaging and anatomic pathology. The contract shall be for one base year, with the Government having the option to exercise four one year periods. Evaluations will be made in the following order of importance with price being equal to 30% and technical and past performance equal to 70%. Proposals must include enough information to adequately evaluate all criteria: incomplete proposals will be rejected.
