Description

The U.S. Army Soldier,Biological and Chemical Command (SBCCOM) is seeking qualified sources of small, lightweight chemical agent detectors for possible inclusion in a U.S. Congress-approved Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) against the Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD) currently under development by BAE Systems, Austin, TX. The Graseby Dynamics LCD has previously been selected to participate in this FCT, which is on-going. Only the requirements of the personal, shipboard, and survey instrument roles of the JCAD are being evaluated under this FCT. Other candidate systems must be in production to be considered. Small and lightweight per the JCAD requirement means less than two pounds and 40 cubic inches.
