Description

This procurement is for the solicitation of a Two-Step firm fixed price contract for the FITNESS CENTER, LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, VIRGINIA. The facility will include one multi-purpose gymnasium, pool, nautilus/weight room, aerobics/exercise area with padded floor, locker rooms, sauna and steam room, administrative offices with equipment issue/storage area and laundry. Connects to existing racquetball facility, Building 226. The project includes alteration of the racquetball facility. Requirements for the technical Source Selection factors are as follows: STEP ONE (1) Past Performance (2) Project Planning, and (3) Small Business Subcontracting Effort. STEP TWO CRITERIA is Price Proposals. Up to five proposers will be selected in STEP ONE, only these successful proposers will take part in STEP TWO of the evaluation process. Offerors will be evaluated on both technical and price. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all proposal prior to award; to negotiate with any or all proposers; to award the contract to other than the lowest total price and to award to the proposer submitting the proposal determined by the Government to be the most advantageous to the Government. PROPOSERS ARE ADVISED ANY AWARD MAY BE MADE IN STEP TWO WITHOUT DISCUSSION OR ANY CONTACT CONCERNING THE PROPOSAL RECEIVED. The receipt date for STEP ONE is JUNE 7, 2001. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be over $10,000,000.00. Duration of the project is 650 calendar days. STEP ONE criteria and submission requirements will be available on/about MAY 7, 2001 via http://www.nao.usace.army.mil/Ebs/Asp/AdvertsiedSolicitations.asp. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract.
