renovation of existing asphalt trails at the cradle of forestry in america on the pisgah ranger district, davidson county,north carolina. project covers 2.3 miles of trail and shall be constructed in five distinct phases. work includes removal of existing benches,landscape timbers,flagstone and designated asphalt patching and leveling course,construction of new concrete and asphalt pavement,construction of asphalt overlays,construction of new rock and timber retaining walls,benches and associated structures. also includes installation of underground water and electric line,including associated fittings and fixtures. issue date is may 1,2001, bids due may 31,2001 local time at place of opening. estimated cost is $500,000-$1,000.000. bonding is required.fax request for solicitation to john zgavec at 828-257-4876.
