Description

The previous CB Notice is cancelled in its entirety since this project has been changed to 100% set aside for 8(a) firms registered for construction (23561/SIC 1761). The principal features of this project shall include but not be limited to replacement of existing roofing; replacement of sheetmetal work such as sheetmetal base/counter flashing, metal edge strips, gravel stops, gutters/downspouts, draings, replacement of deteriorated structural lumber, disposal of asbestos materials; removal/reinstallation of existing miscellaneous equipment found on roof; and furnishing the Quality Contract (QC) necessary to integrate the reroofing work into the total building system. The work may include the fol1owing types of roofing: (1) Asphalt, Shingles; (2) Roofing Tiles/Clay Tiles; (3) Built-up Roofing (Mineral/Aggregate Surfaced); (4) Metal Roofing (Preformed, Factory Color Finished); (5) E+Wood Shingles and Shakes. this is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract. the estimated range of the acquisition is between $5,000 (guaranteed minimum) and $5,000,000.00 per contract period . The guaranteed minimum applies only to the basic year. The basic year performance period is from approximately 1 July 2001 through 30 June 2002, with four 12-month option periods to be executed at the government's option. Contractor must have sufficient bonding capability for the performance and payment bonds. The solicitation will be available only on the Internet at the following address: http://www.eps.gov, on or about 30 Apr 2001. The sites of work is contemplated under this project is Hickam AFB, Bellows AFS and Wheeler AAF, in the State of Hawaii. This project is 100% set aside for 8(a)firms registered for construction (SIC 1761/NAICS code 23561). In addition, it has been determined that competition will be geographically limited to 8(a) firms certified for participation in the 8(a) Program who are serviced by the Hawaii District Office. Note that 8(a) firms that are not serviced by the Hawaii District Office, but who have a verifiable office and employees located within the geographic area served by the Hawaii District Office at the time of this CBD announcement are also eligible to submit offers. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract awarded from any DOD activity.
