- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a beam homogenizer that will be used with a F2 (157 nm) excimer laser. The requirements are as follows: 1) Homogenizer should be capable of beam uniformities of 5% or better; 2) Homogenizer should be a flys eye design with a minimum array size of 7 by 11 elements; 3) The size of the homogenized field should be at least 10 mm by 10 mm; 4) The entrance aperture should be at least 12 mm by 24 mm; 5) There should be at least one condenser lens supplied, and 6) All optical materials should be CaF2. Of critical importance in the requirement is the damage testing on the optical components prior to assembly and shipping. These damage tests are critical because most optical materials are easily damaged when exposed to 157 nm excimer laser radiation. Interested sources must submit a written qualification statement, with literature, by May 2, 2001, and must contain sufficient information to clearly establish the ability to provide the necessary equipment. Responses must reference Synopsis No. NB815010104091JW. This announcement/solicitation is being issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13 (NTE $100,000.00) and is not a request for quotes. There is no bid package available, as all the requirements are listed above. The award decision will be based upon the best value to the Government, with technical merit, past performance and availability being significantly more important than price. Terms and Conditions and agency level protest procedures are referenced at http://netsite.esa.doc.gov.oam. In the absence of other qualified sources, based on the responses, it is the intent of the government to negotiate with JPSA, Hollis, NH. Technical questions can be directed to Richard Jones at (303) 497-3439. JACQUELINE WRIGHT Purchasing Agent
