Description
This request is an amendment to DAHA45-01-Q-0005, submitted on 20 March 2001 -- 11:15 am. This package has been revised to update the NAIC, FAC number and to provide for multiple award based upon pricing. This is a request for quotation for commercial items. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and solicitation package will not be issued. Solicitation Number DAHA45-01-Q-0005 is issued as a request for quotation, is a 100% small business set-aside and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24. The associated NAIC is 335912 and the business size is 1,000 employees. The government reserves the right to make multiple awards on this solicitation in accordance with FAR part 52.216-27. The Washington Army National Guard is requesting batteries for tanks and wheeled vehicles, Model Type 6TL, Turrets, Model Type 2HN and for various military vehicles, Model Type 4HN. Vendor will be required to deliver the batteries to the MATES Shop and Organizational Maintenance Shop #8 in Yakima, Washington. Also the vendor may be required to deliver batteries to units located in the field on Yakima Training Center, within a 15 mile radius of exit 11. Vendor must be able to load and unload all batteries and will be responsible for picking up all cores. Handles will be installed on all batteries upon delivery and delivery shall be within two hours of the initial notification to the vendor. All batteries will be fully charged and ready for use upon delivery. Vendor will be responsible for checking all used batteries to see if they can be recharded and put back into our system at no charge to the government. All batteries must have a 2-year warranty and a 1-year free replacement. The maximum number of batteries to be ordered at one time shall not exceed fifty and the minimum quantity shall not be less than ten. The contractor may deliver quanties less than the minimum at no cost to the government at their option. The number of batteries is a total that may be ordered from the date of award to 30 September 2001. Any remaining balance of batteries not directed for delivery shall be deleted from the contract at no charge to the government. Multiple deliveries throughout the performance period will be required. The provisions in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Award will be made to that offeror whose quote meets the specifications listed above and is the most advantageous price to the government. The government intends to award a firm fixed price order. All quotes shall include prices, FOB point (name and telephone number), GSA number if applicable, business size and payment terms. This award is being made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Part 13 of the FAR. The government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation and response of this announcement.
