Description

Request for quotation issued for the following hydrogen generator: 01) Proton Energy Systems Inc. "Hogen 40" P/N 40 package unit or equal, including PEM cell stack, power supply, heat exchanger and dryer, qty. 1 each; 02) chassis upgrade construction to 316 stainless steel and stainless steel fasteners (where possible), P/N PES SS-316, qty 1 each; 03) maintenance filter change kit, P/N PES-SMK-1, qty 1 each; 04) Overhaul filter change kit, P/N PES-SMK-2, qty. 1 each; and 05) major mechanical spares kit P/N H3C-MSK, qty. 1 each. Hydrogen generator must meet following minimum specifications: (1) produce 38 SCFH of hydrogen gas at 200 psi using 17 kwh of electricity, (2) produce 100 scf of hydrogen gas using an average of 0.58 gallons of de-mineralize ionized water, (3) require no hazardous solutions such as potassium hydroxide (KOH solution), (4) contain no asbestos or hazardous related materials, (5) have an inherent process pressure system, which eliminates the need for mechanical compressor and compressor motor, (6) have an electronic system that shall withstand extreme humid climate, (7) have metal components that shall be 316 grade stainless steel, (8) must be compact (approx. 2' W x 2' H x 4' D), light weight (approx. 300 lbs.) and can be air freighted for repairs, (9) require minimal routine maintenance, (10) provide safe, easy, fast, automatic, and unattended operation, (11) training on operation, trouble shooting, and repairs shall be provided at no cost to NWS/PRH, (12) replacement parts shall be made available for at least 30 years, (13) voltage requirements: single phase, 120/240 VAC operating range, (14) surge protection for voltage variation. Provide FOB destination/delivered price to USDOC/NOAA/NWS, 221-A Kalihi Street, Honolulu HI 96819. Provide Federal tax ID number and DUNS number with quote. Also provide availability/lead time, and published pricelist. This is a simplified acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
